In September 2014, Mr. Bruce Waldie took over the artistic direction of the choir, marking the beginning of a renewal of the vocal ensemble. Bruce Waldie has been in the music business for over 40 years. During his years in the public schools of the province of Manitoba, he worked in the areas of choral music, school band and general music. A former director of Les Intr\u00e9pides and Les Bl\u00e9s au Vent in the 1980s, he also directed the Winnipeg Boys’ Choir and the St. Vital Baptist Church Choir. He has also sung with Manitoba Opera, the Gilbert & Sullivan Society, Rainbow Stage, and for 14 years with the acapella group \u201cThe Riffs\u201d. He has been singing with the Winnipeg Singers for 6 years. From 1987 to 1996, he was the supervisor of music programs in the St. Boniface School Division. Bruce has supported the music community as a judge at over 50 festivals in Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec. He has had the pleasure of directing the Chorale des Intr\u00e9pides since 2014.<\/p>\n

Chlo\u00e9 LeBlanc-Tod is a choral director and music educator living in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She graduated from the University of Manitoba with a degree in music and education, specializing in early childhood music education. Chlo\u00e9 LeBlanc-Tod has been a choir director and music teacher in the St. James-Assiniboia and Louis Riel school divisions. She currently teaches music at a school in Sage Creek. Over the past four years, Chlo\u00e9 LeBlanc-Tod, recipient of the Peter Logan<\/i> Memorial<\/i> Trophy,<\/i> has worked with five choirs, including Les Petits Intr\u00e9pides. She has prepared and presented Les Petits Intr\u00e9pides at a music competition during the Winnipeg Music Festival<\/i> where their efforts were well rewarded.<\/i> Chlo\u00e9 LeBlanc-Tod is passionate about choral conducting and loves working with children to help them develop their voices.<\/p>\n

A member of the traditional group Bandaline since its inception, Claude accompanied Les Intr\u00e9pides for the first time in the 1989-1990 season, as well as the Bl\u00e9s au vent (1989-1992, and 2017-present). A musician for several Cercle Moli\u00e8re productions and former musical director for the “Ensemble folklorique de la Rivi\u00e8re-Rouge”, Claude has worked as a pianist at the Contemporary Dancers professional dance school since 1992 and has been musical director at Holy Rosary Catholic parish since 1996, where he has been organist\/pianist since 1989.<\/p>\n
Claude also does page layout for the “Cahiers franco-canadiens de l’Ouest”<\/i> and the “Presses universitaires de Saint-Boniface”. He also prepared the musicography and layout of several music booklets for the “Alliance chorale” events.<\/p>\n
Claude has also done research in history, having edited the book “Lettres des tranch\u00e9es”<\/i> and contributed several articles to the St. Boniface Historical Society’s website, as well as contributions to the book commemorating the bicentennial of the Archdiocese of St. Boniface.<\/p>\n
